PHRAYDOE PEANS

Since the dawn of civilization there was a breed of man that were responsible for the healing of souls. These people were the shamans, wizards, oracles, medicine men of their communities. They were the first philosophers, scientists, healers, magicians and artists. They used the law of nature and its substances in combination with percussion, vocals, echoes, and other sources of vibration to put themselves and those they chose to heal in altered states to gain a greater sense of the true nature of things. Sound and vibration were critical in the healing rituals. These eccentric people discovered all types of art including story telling, poetry, painting, sculpture, dance, and were the ones who laid the foundation for the infinite universe we know now as music. They more than anybody knew the hidden power of music and how music can make a person kill themselves or bring a person back to life. With the ever expanding human consciousness and the souls need for a higher connection it was time for the next generation of hiphop music. With the new generation of hiphop comes evolution and the imagination of this evolution is Phraydoe Peans. One can find Phraydoe cultivating his music with a blunt in his mouth blowing herbal smoke in the air, crystals all around to amplify the natural vibrations, and the channeling of spirits to be in attendance during his rituals. Yes spirits, rituals and spells, but do not be alarmed or freighted. Phraydoe explains that the spirits inspire him to produce these organic musical spells. Spells because of the effects that they have on one's soul. In his production one can hear the fusions of anything and everything from Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Soul, Salsa, Cumbia, Tribal and of course nature's sounds. Phraydoe Peans has been influenced by every shade of the sound spectrum. His whole catalog encompasses his incredible eccentric production. To understand what makes Phraydoe's metronome tick one must understand where the tempo of his life came from.

Phraydoe Peans was born in the month of the Scorpion and the year of the Rooster. November 17, 1981 in the 3rd world country of Venezuela the same year his idle Bob Marley past. His mother was a Colombian hippie in the 60's which at the time was about as rare as a blue orange. Migrating to Florida like most Hispanics his mother found work as a legal aid and helped build a case during the Iran Contra scandal in the late 80's. With the 80's came the Reaganomic econmoy and the ever expanding drug trade which forced his mother and father in to the growing cartel lifestyle that most minorities were drawn into. Coming from nothing greater exploited their wills to make the American dream by any means necessary. This ultimately led to Phraydoe's father being deported on trafficking charges forcing Phraydoe to grow up in a single parent household. With Phraydoe and his mother getting deeper into the "Reaganomic" economy Phraydoe became the man of the house at a very young age. His mother started to move around looking for an honest living. Transferring him from school to school, moving from new city to new city Phraydoe and his mother was never granted the opportunity to settle down and create a stable foundation. This unconventional background gave Peans a very unique perspective of the world and its different environments with grassroot music and local culture. This is the foundation of his music and one can hear the influences and uniqueness in his production.

His philosophy on music is rather unorthodox when he explains that music is true magic and the songs he produces are spells. Songs are spells because each song will have a specific effect on people. This view is not a new one and is more esoteric in nature going back to the genesis of music. His music can act as a very powerful therapeutic and affects people in the most profound way. He puts those listening in a trance so they can let themselves go to experience the true essence of the music. Far from being the prototypical producer he considers himself to be an artist first and then whatever one decides to categorize him second. A one stop production shop he offers distinct soundscapes with original concepts and organic sounds. He does not want to be known as the "hit-single producer", he wants to be the musician that adds color to an album with songs that people identify with and will be remembered for its impact not its popularity. The type of songs that make albums revolutionary, classic and timeless.

Working from Florida to Vegas Phraydoe has picked up sounds that reflect his nomadic travels. From Dirty South to West Coast Hyphie there is nothing that is out of reach for this young artist with an old soul. Phraydoe was instrumental in fusing a new original sound and creating a musical movement known as PIMP Hop. Phraydoe Peans is motivating the streets with his galvanizing mantras P.I.M.P. an acronym for "Prestige, Image, Money, & Power" and "Be Godlike" which is pushing for the future generations to take control of their destinies, hence manifest destiny. One can find his work with artists like living legend "Scarface" and underground legend "Crooked I".
